Top 10 Sunglasses Trends at NYFW

Since New York Fashion Week ended last week, we've had some time to process and deliberate on next season's biggest trends and most fashion-forward looks. Today, we've rounded up our favorite sunglasses trend for Spring, from the totally outrageous to the totally wearable.

  1. Phillip Lim: Reflective lenses live on!  In fact, the mirrored trend seems to have expanded beyond eyewear and was seen on just about everything from shirts to shoes. While the large shield shape shown below can be a little tough to pull off, we expect to see mirrored lenses back in all shapes and sizes for Spring!  See more mirrored lenses here

2. Prabal Gurung:  Bold statement making sunglasses.  Bold is definitely the name of Prabal's game, and we love him for it!  We particularly like the double matted cat-eye sunglasses shown. Not for the faint of heart!  See more statement-making sunnies here

3. Marc Jacobs:  Large round glasses with a goth glam vibe.  Marc stays on brand will edgy, envelope pushing patterns and shapes. This plum color will work well in both Fall and Spring. See more round sunglasses here

4. Paul Smith: Piped aviators are still on point!  We love the totally wearable shape and colors shown on the runway at Paul Smith. We particularly love it paired with a monochromatic outfit. Your wardrobe will thank you!  See piped-aviators here

5. Karen Walker: Dark shades in geometric shapes.  Loving the squared, so-dark-they-can't-see-your-eyes pair shown here. Get the look here

6. DSquared2: White cat-eye sunglasses with gradient lenses. These white capped sunnies are fresh, wearable, and totally glamorous! See more cat-eye sunglasses here

7. Elizabeth and James: Oversized menswear aviators. Classic styling gets a slight-tweak with masculine detailing and a larger size. Pair these with some oxfords and an oversized blazer, and you're good to go!  See more aviators here.

8. Jeremy Scott:  Neon cat-eye sunglasses. Jeremy Scott is known for being at the forefront of all things outrageous. Not sure we're ready to wear the "Earth Sucks" shirt but we'll be first in line to sport our neon sunnies this Spring!  See more neon sunglasses here

9. Gucci: Oversized sunglasses with gradient lenses. Huge glasses always make you feel like a starlet but the subtle gradient lenses make these particularly fresh. Get the look here.

10. Burberry: White, mod sunglasses. Matte white glasses in a wearable shape are somehow both retro and modern, depending on what you pair them with. We love that kind of versatility! See more white sunglasses here.
